Company Classes
Here at Artistic Dance Academy we offer classes to those students whose heart cry and passion is dance. Company Classes are designed for the AG student (Artistically Gifted in the art of dance). Company is for dancers who take 4 or more classes per week depending on their age and level. This class requires a stricter discipline of work ethics and higher level of technique mastered at said level of company. We require only 6 or fewer absences after Christmas and dancers must be available for performances other than recital and DFC when called. This class gives dancers an opportunity to grow in an environment that moves at a faster pace of learning and retaining choreography.
Certain dance skills are required to get into this class. The most important skill is to believe in yourself as God believes in you. Company dancers must come to class with a positive attitude, an open mind to learn and take correction, is on time, and in the proper dance attire for that genre. Failure to act accordingly will be cause of dismissal of company.
We do not hold auditions for company classes however we will invite dancers to this class that have developed and mastered a strong foundation and technique in the genre of company invited. They must have the desire to serve as a dancer, not to be served. This class is not for everyone and that is why we have many open dance classes. These non-company classes are designed for dancers who want to learn at the level of the class named and is more suited for a recreational dancer that loves the art and performance experience but are committed to other activities such as sports, theater cheer, travel etc.

Important Company Info
All Intermediate & Senior Company dancers are required to take the technique and conditioning class each week to be in company.
Contracts will be signed and we will hold mandatory evaluations for company dancers throughout the season to let them know how they are progressing. This is a time for us to encourage and critique each dancer one on one with each instructor.
If you are promoted to a company ballet class, that does not mean you are eligible to take all company classes. You must be invited to each one. A dancer that is strong in ballet may not necessarily be ready for company hip-hop, tap etc.
We do not believe in perfection, but we do push each of our company dancers to excellence! We try our best as instructors to pull out the best in our students to be all that we know they are capable of being!
Company Class is an honor and a privilege and should be treated as such. We are all held to a higher standard to those that dance for Christ. To God be the Glory!

Company Dress Code
Dress code for company is pretty much the same as our studio dress code policy, with the exception of ballet. We do however, hold our company dancers to a much higher level and expect that dress code is properly enforced in each dance genre.
